The Toshiba B-SX5 is a high-performance industrial printer that supports both thermal-transfer and direct-thermal printing. It delivers crisp output at a 306 dpi (12.05 dots/mm) resolution — ideal for fine text, barcodes, and graphics. The printer can output at speeds up to 203 mm/s (8 ips) while handling a wide media width of up to 127.5 mm. Built-in ribbon-save functionality helps to reduce ribbon waste and costs during thermal-transfer jobs. Connectivity is flexible, with 2 serial ports, a bi-directional parallel port, and optional USB, LAN, PCMCIA, or wireless interfaces. The robust steel design (weighing ~19 kg) and long-life near-edge printhead (up to 76 km) make it well-suited for continuous, high-volume industrial environments.
